ABOUT UIP

The two-week University Immersion Program (UIP) organized by Sichuan University is designed to convene faculties from all over the world to give short courses and lectures to both domestic and international students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. UIP was initiated in 2012 and now a regular long-term program. This program aims to bring together students worldwide so as to give all participants an opportunity to associate and make friends with each other, and stimulate their global awareness and inter-cultural communications.

TEACHER’S OPPORTUNITY

Sichuan University invites academics worldwide to submit Bachelor-level course proposals covering international knowledge, enlightening, inspiring and critical thinking that focus in interdisciplinary.

LECTURING

Lecture should be taught in English. The invited faculty shall give one course (one credit, 16 academic hours) or two courses (two credits, 32 academic hours) and the teaching time shall not exceed 3 hours per day (excluding the practical operation part).

HOW TO APPLY

Paperwork: Upon Sichuan University’s approval, the “Sichuan University Short-term Foreign Expert Visit Application Form” and “Visa Invitation Letter” should be completed.

Graduate Student Assistant Support: A graduate student assistant will be assigned to you to help clarify your teaching/activity schedule, acquaint you with the local living environment, assist with expense reimbursements, ensure the payment of your remuneration, and facilitate your smooth arrival and departure in Chengdu.

Accommodation and Meals: Your stay and dining arrangements for the duration of the UIP (June 29, 2025–July 12, 2025) will be organized and managed by Sichuan University.

STUDENTS’ OPPORTUNITY: “INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE CAMP”

The UIP at Sichuan University is designed to provide international students with the program “International Exchange Camp” to gain campus experience in one of top Chinese Universities and explore the unique West China Cultures. It offers a wide range of courses to meet the academic needs of students studying abroad and intensive Chinese cultural studies. Previous Chinese language study is not required. All courses will be taught in English.
