On January 14th, a delegation led by Ms. Lisa Montoya, vice president of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), visited Sichuan University. Vice President Yan Shijing met the visiting guests along with faculty and staff from relevant departments.
Vice President Yan noted that, SCU and UTSA have established a good long-term partnership to jointly build overseas practice and training bases for college students, and encourage them to join various overseas training and social practice activities as well as multi-faceted exchanges and cooperation in culture and research. The signing of this agreement will further expand and deepen the exchanges and cooperation between both sides.
Ms. Lisa Montoya thanked Vice President Yan for the warm welcome at SCU. She pointed out that UTSA is a young, energetic and innovative university that's devoted to promoting cooperation and exchanges with world-renowned universities. There is a huge potential for cooperation and exchanges between both universities, so I hope to deepen cooperation with SCU in the faculty and student exchanges and scientific research, etc, she added.
After the meeting, these two vice presidents signed a cooperation agreement on their own behalf.
