The Teaching Master Award, Outstanding Teacher Award, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Award are dubbed the "Three Teaching Awards" in China. They were established with donations from the China Teacher Development Foundation and the Shenzhen Chen Yidan Charity Foundation in 2019. Being the largest awards in higher education teaching, they are given out annually. The Outstanding Teacher Award aims to recognize university teachers who have achieved outstanding results in talent cultivation, made outstanding contributions to the cultivation of strategically scarce talent in the country, have outstanding influence, and are rooted in the forefront of teaching.
