On May 31st, 2016, the signing ceremony of the MOU between SCU and Tel Aviv University was held in Tel Aviv University, Israel. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Yin Li, the governor of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, along with other officials.
President of the Tel Aviv University Joseph Klafter briefed the representatives about the history and achievements of the University. The cooperation with SCU marked the debut of cooperation between Tel Aviv University and the peers in China, he said, adding that both sides could carry out in-depth and continuous exchange and cooperation in several fields. Governor Yin Li delivered a passionate speech, in which he encouraged SCU and Tel Aviv University to develop comprehensive and in-depth cooperation and exchange, especially in the aspects of teachers and students exchange, cooperative scientific research as well as innovation and entrepreneurship. He also hoped that SCU could contribute more to the innovative development of social economy in Sichuan Province.
Then, witnessed by Governor Yin Li and the faculties and students from both universities, president Joseph Klafter of Tel Aviv University and vice-president Yan Shijing of SCU (authorized by President Xie Heping) inked the MOU between SCU and Tel Aviv University.
