On May 4th, a delegation headed by Xu Weilin, vice-president of SCU, attended the Sichuan - Republic of Tatarstan Promotion Conference, which was jointly held by the Sichuan People’s Government and the Republic of Tatarstan. During the conference, vice-president Xu Weilin signed cooperation agreements with the vice-president of Kazan Federal University and the president of Kazan State Technical University. All sides held in-depth communications, expressing their desire to develop specific cooperation in student exchanges and joint research. Vice-president Xu accepted the interview of Kazan Federal University TV during his visit. He also had an in-depth discussion with the vice-president of Kazan Federal University on future cooperation.
On May 5th, the delegation visited Saint-Petersburg State University. Mr. Xu recalled the history and looked into the future of cooperation and exchange between both universities when meeting with the vice-president Alexander Gogolesvky of Saint-Petersburg State University. Specific suggestions on scientific research cooperation and student exchanges between both universities were proposed.
