On the afternoon of May 11th,Prof.Yan Shijing, Vice President of Sichuan University, metwiththedelegation oftheUniversity of Washington Tacoma led by President Mark Pagano. The relevant personnel of Sichuan University attended the meeting.

Yan Shijing said at the meetingthat, Sichuan University had a long-standing partnership with the University of Washington. Since 1980s, the two universities have started cooperation in medical education. In recent years,both sideshave carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation in personnel training, scientific research and other fields.He hoped that the two universitiescouldcarry out more cooperation in studentsexchange,teachersvisit, scientific research, project collaborationand other fields.

Mark Pagano said that the University of Washington Tacomais a young university with strongvigor andstrength in environmental science, engineering, nursing and other aspects. The two universitiescouldcarry out in-depth cooperation in relevant disciplines in the future, he stressed.
