On August 30, a signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Sichuan University and the University of Kentucky was held at Sichuan University. Ms. Susan M. Roberts, vice provost of the University of Kentucky, and Prof. Yan Shijing, vice president of Sichuan University, attended the signing ceremony along with leaders from related departments of both sides.

First, Prof. Yan, on behalf of SCU, expressed his warm welcome to the delegation led by Ms. Susan M. Roberts. He introduced the history, scale, discipline construction, international cooperation and exchanges and other aspects of SCU, adding that SCU attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchanges, and therefore has achieved fruitful results in cooperative teaching at the global level in recent years. Sichuan University and University of Kentucky have a solid foundation for cooperation, as both sides have reached the consensus on cooperation in the field of electronic information, physics and other subjects.
