September 29th, Sichuan University (SCU) held a signing ceremony with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). This ceremony was attended by President Xie Heping of SCU and President Barbara Snyder from CWRU, both accompanied by related personnel.
President Xie first expressed on behalf of SCU warm welcome to President Barbara Snyder and his team, and heartfelt gratitude to him for his valuable suggestions (as a member of International Advisory Board of SCU) on how to build SCU into a world-class university. Then President Xie expressed the hope that both universities can take advantage of this agreement to push forward comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in research, joint training and faculty exchange, so as to facilitate the development of the two universities.
Mr. Barbara Snyder claimed that, it is an honor for him to visit SCU at its 121stanniversary as a member of SCU’s International Advisory Board，anticipating for further cooperation in more fields as well as a higher and newer level of friendly relationship between the two institutions.
Whereafter, Xie Heping and Barbara Snyder singed the Cooperative Agreement between Sichuan University and Case Western Reserve University.
