The Delegation of Warsaw School of Economics Visited SCU

On September 18, Mr. Yan Shijing, the vice president of Sichuan University, met with JacekProkop and PiotrWachowiak, the vice-chancellors of Warsaw School of Economics, Poland. Other relevant personnel of SCU also attended the meeting.

Mr. Yan said in the meeting that Sichuan University and Warsaw School of Economics hold frequent academic exchange activities. Both sides have achieved remarkable achievements in cooperative research, and contributed a lot to promoting the friendly relationship between both countries. In a move to strengthen the exchange and cooperation among the countries along the “Belt and Road” and promote the implementation of “China-EU+” strategy, Sichuan University has established the research center on issues of Poland and Central Europe, actively prepared the “Polish +” discipline, and cultivated professional compound talents who are acquainted with both Polish language and Poland’s politics, economy and culture. He hoped that both sides could enhance their cooperation in personnel training, teachers’ exchange visits, scientific research and other aspects in the future.

Mr. JacekProkop expressed his thanks for the warm reception of Sichuan University. He said that the students and teachers from Sichuan University are highly welcome in Warsaw School of Economics, and the “Polish +” discipline established by SCU could greatly promote the exchange and cooperation between the two sides. He welcomed more doctoral students and postgraduates to Warsaw School of Economics for further study and exchanges. He believed that with the continuous advancement of China’s “Belt and Road” strategy, the two sides could carry out in-depth cooperation in more fields, and boost the further development of Sino-Poland relationship.
