From March 10thto March 11th, the 2016 International Conference on Strategic Management, 2016 (ICSM) themed with “Innovative Entrepreneurship and Strategies in the Internet Era” was held in SCU. Vice-president Yan Shijing delivered a speech on behalf of SCU. Editor-in-chief Arch Woodside and Roger Marshall from the celebratedJournal of Bussiness ResearchandAustralasian Marketing Journal, attended the conference along with over 120 specialists and some young scholars of relevant fields from the universities of many countries and regions, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as from Renmin University of China and Nankai University, etc.
In the 2-day conference themed with “Innovative Entrepreneurship and Strategies in the Internet Era”, 6 keynote lectures were arranged. 5 meetings were also held on the sideline of the conference, including “Innovation, entrepreneurship and enterprise growth”, “Enterprisetransformation: strategy and decision-making”, “Tourism development: path and coordination” and “Behavior Management in the context of new economy”. Specialists and scholars of relevant fields gave keynote speeches in different aspects. These excellent speeches involved precious theoretical researches, in-depth description of methodology, vivid case studies and active exploration of innovation. All the speeches were made in combination with the theoretical and practical hotspots in the management field, broadening the thought and horizon of the participants. The exchange and interaction in the conference brought more profound experience and thinking about theory and practices of management.
During the conference, a workshop with the theme of “Quantitative Modeling of Case-Level Data and How to Publish in A* and A Ranked Journals” was also held. Prof. Arch Woodside, the editor-in-chief ofJournal of Bussiness Researchand management expert of theBostonUniversity, theUSA, provided wonderful special sharing and interaction on the data model and high-grade academic journal publication under study.
