A meeting between the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey and Sichuan University was held on June 14 at the VIP Hall of Mingde Building of Wangjiang Campus.Ismail Hakkı Musa, the ambassador ofthe Republic of Turkey to China, Wang Jinsonghe, president of SCU, Tao Kerman,Consul General of Turkey in Chengdu, Yao Leye, vice president of SCU and other leaders of relevant units from both sides attended the meeting.

Wang Jinsong, on behalf of SCU, welcomed Ismail Hakkı Musaand his delegation,congratulated the opening of the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey. He pointed out that SCU has always been vigorously promoting international exchange and cooperation, especially through the international course week and the "Great Sichuan Vision", the overseas study program, to continuously broaden students' international horizons and enhance their international competitiveness. We hope that both sides will deepen the exchange and cooperation in talent training, scientific research, disaster prevention and mitigation, and contribute to the sustainable, healthy and stable development of the strategic cooperation between China and Turkey.

Ismail Musa expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from the university and introduced the situation of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey to China. He pointed out that SCU has a long history and fruitful academic achievements, and has established good cooperation relations withthe universities in Turkey,such as Istanbul Aydin University. The Turkish Embassy in China is willing to match the cooperation between the universities in Turkey and SCU, promote the friendly exchange between the youth of the two countries, and promote the cooperation between the two sides in education and teaching, post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, etc.
