Oct. 28th, President of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Ivan Svetlik, led a delegation and visited Sichuan University. Vice President Yan Shijing, accompanied by related department officers of the SCU, met with the guests.
During the meeting, Vice President Yan said that, as one of the cooperative partner of the SCU in implementing relevant EU project, the University of Ljubljana has established a good partnership with the SCU for many years; during the visit to the University of Ljubljana in 2015, the SCU delegation was deeply impressed by its teaching level and teaching quality, which take a leading position worldwide. He hopes the two universities can go deeper in multi-discipline and multi-domain communication, and beef up cooperation in the aspects of education and teaching, scientific research and talents cultivation, etc.
President Ivan Svetlik talked about the high-degree complementarity shared by the SCU and the University of Ljubljana in education and research, hoping that the two universities could further discuss cooperation in details, and push ahead with closer cooperation in multiple domains.
After the meeting, Vice President Yan, on behalf of the SCU, signed an Intercollegiate Cooperation Agreement with the University of Ljubljana.
