On June 28th, Daniel Hershkowitz, the former head of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the president of the Bar-Ilan University, headed a delegation to visit SCU. President Xie Heping of SCU had a cordial discussion with the delegation, and the MOU of Strategic Cooperation between SCU and Bar-Ilan University was concluded. Mr. Amir Lati, the consul-general of Israel in Chengdu and Mr. Cobi Yanovsky, deputy consul-general of Israel in Chengdu, Vice-president Yan Shijing of SCU and relevant personnel from both universities attended the meeting.

Both sides hoped that through the MOU, a more extensive and solid partnership could be established, so as to boost cooperation and exchange between both sides in joint cultivation and “Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, while propelling the scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship education in both universities.

After the meeting, president Hershkowitz gave a keynote speech with the theme of innovation and entrepreneurship to over one hundred of teachers and students in SCU. He also had an interactive discussion with the teachers and students.
