May 23rd, US Consul-General in Chengdu, Mr. Ray Greene, accompanied with his party, paid a visit to Sichuan University and delivered a speech. During a meeting before the speech, Vice President Yan Shijing expressed an expectation that Mr. Ray’s lecture could further the exchanges between China and the United States, share the US’s experiences in terms of innovation & entrepreneurship, and fuel development of SCU’s innovation & entrepreneurship projects, and the cultivation of innovative talents.
At the College of Business in the Wangjiang campus, Mr. Ray Greene addressed SCU students with a lecture titled “Innovation & Entrepreneurship: The American Experience”. Starting with the Four Great Inventions of ancient China, the innovations and inventions of early America, plus other lively cases including currently prevailing “bike sharing”, he demonstrated the conveniences brought about by Sci-Tech innovation in simple terms; then conducted in-depth exchange and interaction with the teachers and students present, and passionately answered their questions.
